IARP Social Security Vocational Expert Section
Welcome to IARP Social Security Vocational Experts Section.
• We are the only professional organization section with a focus on serving Social Security Vocational Experts.
• We have an 8 member executive committee for the SSVE section and regional representatives in all 10 SSA regions.
• We serve as a liaison between the Social Security Administration and Social Security Vocational Experts.
• We work with the SSA on the BPA renewal, provisions and the contracted rate.
• We have conducted research on the Vocational Expert Program and distributed it to SSA and key members of Congress.
• We have established a communication channel between SSVE’s and SSA to resolve issues at a regional and national level
• We have developed practice guidelines/expectations for SSA-ODAR offices and SSVE’s.
• We are working with a Government Relations firm to raise awareness of SSVE issues and to make sure our message is heard by key members of Congress and SSA.
• We have developed an online list of SSVE resources for our members.
