Participants will meet in round table discussions on the campus of Georgia State University to reach agreement on three topics:
Saturday, April 17

"Best Practices for Establishing Foundation for Necessity: Boundaries for Decision Making"
Consensus on objective methodology for how decisions are made about care items included in a life care plan, focusing on what items a life care planner can put into the plan based on his/her scope of practice versus what items require consultation/recommendation from other experts.
"Best Practices for Determining Sources of Attendant Care"
Consensus on objective methodology for how decisions are made for recommendations about using in-home caregivers from agencies or private-hire.
Sunday, April 18
8:00 a.m. - Noon
"Ten Years of Summit Statements"
This year is a historic year for the Life Care Planning Summit! Attendees will review ten years of consensus statements and determine whether selected statements stand as is, go to revision process or be withdrawn in acknowledgment to our growth and achievement within the field of life care planning.
Following this review of prior statements, participants will meet to develop group consensus statements for all three topics.

CCMC, CDMS, CLCP, MSCC, ABVE and CRCC-approved CEUs. Additional certifications, including CRRN, are pending approval.
This activity has been submitted to Illinois Nurses Association Approver Unit for approval to award contact hours. Illinois Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
