IARP Disability Management Section
The IARP Disability Management Section is committed to the professional development of disability management service providers by increasing access to education, research, skilled training programs and networking opportunities. Disability managers implement prevention and workplace interventions to avoid incidents that result in absences, and collaborate with other professionals to create workplace solutions to improve employee health, safe return to work, and productivity. Membership in this section affords access to individuals with immediate or ongoing knowledge to improve professional disability management practice.
• We support professional best practices in disability management.
• We promote the highest standards of disability management ethical practice and professional competence.
• We engage multiple disciplines in disability management to promote advances in disability management practice
• We provide an active forum to enhance knowledge, build competency and skills, and promote professional growth.
• We promote innovation in prevention, early intervention, return to work, health and wellness,
benefits management, safe work practices, and productivity management.
• We provide interactive networking with all disciplines that practice disability management to share current information and resources.
• We interact with other professional organizations involved with disability management to grow our profession.
• We produce and co-sponsor a bi-annual Case Management/Disability Management Conference where members can inform each other and meet experts.
• We provide webinars to inform members about cutting-edge strategies, resources, and advances in disability management.
