Stubbe and Associates (www.stubbe.com), a Midwest regional medical and vocational case management company is currently seeking Master level VR Professionals to partner with them and a Disability Insurer to work onsite with employer groups and provide early intervention/prevention and other internal accommodation services for employees with disabilities or medical conditions. The Disability Specialist will be responsible for providing ongoing consultation, support and communication between employee, employer, insurer, and healthcare providers to prevent work absences, and/or expedite the return to work process. Position serves as a conduit between all involved parties.
Areas of focus include onsite prevention and injury/absence management, reasonable accommodation, telephonic case management, early identification of cases needing outside vocational vendor assistance, and working with employer groups to create a seamless transition to vocational services.
Current positions available in Bellevue, WA and Salem/Portland, OR areas, and Bozeman/Butte, MT area. Future needs anticipated in other locations, so if interested in partnering/subcontracting with us, please submit resume for consideration.
Qualifications desired:
- Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Industrial Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related field, or a BSN RN certified in occupational health and/or possessing medical/vocational case management expertise
- CRC Certification Preferred (CDMS or CCM consideration)
- Ergonomic certification/credentialing preferred
- Two years experience working with disabled population
- Knowledge of federal and state disability laws regarding access for people with disabilities; specifically ADA and FMLA
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources for people with disabilities
- Experience in providing consultation and training on disability issues
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong experience in, and knowledge of, the vocational counseling process in STD/LTD arena
