California Couselor Licensure Alert

California is moving closer to becoming the 50th state to enact counselor licensure. California's State Assembly passed the counselor licensure bill AB 1486 last June. The next step will be on June 9, 2008, where the Senate Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee will hear the bill. This progress has been made possible due to the efforts of the California Coalition for Counselor Licensure along with many counselors in California.
CRCC continues its support of the licensure effort and is forwarding the Legislative Alert that CCCL emailed to its constituency earlier this week. Please take a moment to review the alert and to contact the Senate Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee chair and Committee members to voice your support for AB 1486.
