Despite widespread use in the world, FCEs have had some bad press due to apparent lack of scientific evidence of their predictive validity. However, review of a wide range of assessments for readiness to return to work (from self-report to medical evaluation) reveals that none of those methods are as studied as FCEs...and that none of them have better predictive validity! Psychometric properties associated with FCEs will be defined and the participant will be better equipped to know what to look for in FCE's, their validity and reliability characteristics, and how to appropriately use them.
Objectives
1. Participants will be able to identify the necessary components of an FCE
2. Participants will be able to list and weigh the desired psychometric properties from the FCE according to the type of referral
3. Participants will be able to discuss how to make vocational interpretations from FCE results
Webinar Fees: Members: $50; Nonmembers: $75
The webinar will be 2 hours long and 2 CEU credits are available.
