Vocational Foundations
Participants will be able to:
1) Terms in TBI – What questions to ask of a neuropsychological report.
2) Determining the motivation factor through Job Application/ Interview Skills Training and other work preparation assignments.
3) Finding the right job for your client. What type of job should you recommend as viable?
4) Job Shadowing – how to identify accommodations in the work place.
What type of job should I recommend to my client following brain injury? Although learning how to interpret a neuropsychological report is helpful, it is not the only way to measure a potential return to work success for your client. Find out what to look for to determine if your client will re-integrate into the work place, how to communicate with the employer and as a case manager be able to identify accommodations on and away from the work site. Some case studies will be presented.
The program has been approved for 2.0 CEUs from CRC, CDMS and CCMC.
