Full-Day Workshop - Workability Job Analysis Applications

Implementing an effective team process to create positive return to work outcomes is an enormous challenge. This seminar develops critical skills necessary to evaluate functional job demands, specify Workability Fitness Screen components, and develop a strong foundation for progressive accommodation of persons with work restrictions.

This course is appropriate for physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, vocational case managers, human resource professionals, and safety/risk managers that facilitate work injury management. It is a MUST for Workability physical or occupational therapists to qualify for “Certified Workability Therapist (CWT)”.

Half-Day Workshop - Using the O*Net Database for Occupational Analysis
1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.                            
Registration fee is $90 for IARP Members and $115 for Non-members.

This training is designed to provide rehabilitation professionals with a technical understanding and rationale for use of the O*NET in occupational analysis and expert witness work. The O*Net database will be discussed in terms of conversion of standard occupational demand terms to the O*NET factors. Additionally, issues of functional capacity, transferability; and linkage to occupational information will be covered.

The IARP Board and committee chairs will information the IARP membership of new trends in the rehabilitation field and recent developments within IARP, as well as activities within the sections this year. The 3-year strategic plan will also be reviewed and participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the coming year’s goals. This session is included in the general conference registration, so all are welcome. CEUs have been applied for.

The IARP Chesapeake and Virginia Chapters invite you to join your rehabilitation colleagues on Thursday evening for the Welcome Reception at to kick off the annual IARP conference at the ZOLA Café at the International Spy Museum.  This is a great way to catch up with old friends and a wonderful opportunity to make some new ones and support the local chapters.  Hors d’ Oeuvres and drinks will be served along with entertainment provided by “James Bond” and one of the “Bond girls“.
