General Description

Carries a vocational rehabilitation counseling caseload and provides a variety of vocational counseling and labor market consultant services on behalf of individuals referred by a variety of referral sources.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:  Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling or closely related field of Counseling.

Preferred:  Certification and/or Licensure or eligibility to apply for: C.R.C., C.D.M.S., L.P.C. Experience in vocational evaluation and willingness to obtain C.V.E. credential.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform vocational assessments, including review of records and initial interviews.
• Provide vocational and/or personal adjustment counseling to address possible barriers to successful outcome.
• Develop individual plans and provide program coordination.
• Perform Job Analyses.
• Conduct labor market surveys.
• Prepare resumes.
• Coordinate and perform job development and placement.
• Complete arrangements for reasonable accommodations, if needed.
• Provide follow-up services to individuals placed in employment, if needed.
• Provide vocational expert testimony (optional).
• Refer to and coordinate services with community-based agencies, specialists, and other service-providing entities.
• Market company services to potential referral sources.
