February 28, 2008: Vocational Consultant  

Occupational Resource Network (ORN) is a small firm providing vocational consultation services in MA, CT, NH and RI.  ORN is currently seeking qualified professionals to provide vocational consultation services within the workers compensation/LTD arenas. Specific duties will include: vocational assessment, job placement, worksite evaluations, labor market research and potential testimony. Must be capable of working autonomously and independently.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide vocational counseling to assist individuals in adjusting to disability.
2. Evaluate and assess the strengths and limitations of individuals to provide the proper level of support and/or services to achieve success in competitive employment.
3. Act as liaison between treatment providers, collateral agencies and prospective employers to address vocational issues and ensure appropriate vocational planning either through re-training, skills enhancement or direct job placement.
4. Assist individuals to make career decisions by providing assistance in exploring interests, skills and aptitudes.
5. Develop and implement IWRP focusing upon a viable vocational goal and providing vocational support such as developing job search and interviewing skills, providing direct job placement, assist individuals in identifying job options and obtaining employment.
6. Provide concise documentation of activities and generate reports in accordance with company policy.
7. Maintain current knowledge of the local labor market as well as community resources available to assist individuals in obtaining employment.
8. Work with employers to conduct worksite evaluations and job analyses; identify transition work options and recommend viable accommodations to facilitate employment for injured workers.

Qualifications:
• Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or related field. 
• CRC or CVE required.
• Minimum of two years experience within rehabilitation or other human service related field
• Experience in case management
