This year’s economically priced one day conference is free to MiARP current members (professional and student) who register by April 1 and at a reduced rate for co-sponsor members. We will have vendor’s exhibits and the opportunity to earn continuing education credits up to 5 CEU’s potentially 1-3 hours of Ethics.  CRC, CCM, CBIST and CDMS.

Our first speaker provides an understanding of the origins of our profession and the way that it has developed and continues to evolve and assimilate knowledge from medicine, law and rehab technology, a certain expertise is acquired and thus, demonstrated in court.

Testimony will be discussed in detail and is a valuable tool used by triers of fact in deciding outcomes of many types of legal cases - examples of venues provided and specifics applied in answering questions within a legal setting including depositions and live testimony.

You will also learn how Fitness Therapy differs from other rehabilitation services, and why it is an accepted part of the continuum of care.  You will have the opportunity to see how fitness therapy is offering results, as well as another option in rehabilitation that is covered by auto no-fault and workers comp insurance.

Finally you will receive an update from a committee member of the SSA’s Occupational Information System (OIDAP), regarding the current Status of updating the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT).
