IARP CHAPTERS allow members to promote association goals within their local communities.
- Chapter newsletters and member directories.
- Chapter web sites.
- Local meetings and networking opportunities.
- Local continuing education events.
- Monitoring local business and regulatory climates.
- Lobbying of local governments.
- Regional boards and committees.
- Peer review at the regional level.
- Regonal work with other rehab organizations.
Recognizing the value of local initiative, IARP requires Local Chapter Membership of all its Professional Members, if there is a Local Chapter serving their region of residence.
Associate and Student Members are also strongly encouraged to join and actively participate in an IARP Local Chapter. Typical Chapter activities include:
