6. Job Responsibilities: Aetna is currently seeking a Director of Vocational Rehabilitation Services to join their RTW Vocational Rehabilitation Team. This position works collaboratively with the RTW Consultant and Clinical Services teams to effect the development, delivery, and management of employer and employee Return to Work and Stay at Work programs.
The position reports to the Head of RTW Solutions and works closely with other operational leaders to develop a capacity focused model of disability benefit management and integrate it within disability claims management operations to provide more timely and effective Return to Work interventions. The position also supports organizational learning and talent development programs, and plays a key role in external partnership development and relationship management.
Leadership responsibilities include developing, training, evaluating, and coaching staff in support of a high performance culture. Assesses individual and team performance on a regular basis and provides candid and timely developmental feedback; monitors training plans and ensures training needs are met. Establishes a clear vision aligned with company values; sets specific challenging and achievable objectives and action plans; motivates others to create quality products, services, and solutions. Attracts, selects, and retains high caliber, diverse talent able to successfully achieve or exceed business goals while building a cohesive team that works well together.
7. Qualifications Required: LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Medical/Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) is required
Medical/Certified Vocational Rehab Specialist is required
FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCES
7-10 years Claims Management
4-6 years Leadership/Company Spokesperson
4-6 years Clinical experience in Medical, Disability and Management of at least 25 employees

8. Education Required: The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Master's degree.
9. Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
The successful candidate will hold a valid CRC Certification and have extensive experience in the field with an in-depth knowledge of disability claims management techniques and principles. Proven effectiveness at a Manager level or higher leading teams of remotely located Certified Rehabilitation Counselors is critical. Current knowledge of employer and claimant issues, and national trends and capacities to deliver disability-related support programs is essential. In addition, it would be helpful for the candidate to have demonstrated abilities in supporting products, marketing and distribution channels to support market development, and sales and retention activities, in-depth knowledge of psycho-social aspects of disability, and experience in identifying non-medical barriers to remaining at work or returning to work. Highly effective presentation and training program development and delivery skills are required.
